MONEY ON A MISSION II
MONEY ON A MISSION II
Job 29:12-17 NIV
“Because I rescued the poor who cried for help, and the fatherless who had none to assist them. The one who was dying blessed me; I made the widow’s heart sing. I put on righteousness as my clothing; justice was my robe and my turban. I was eyes to the blind and feet to the lame. I was a father to the needy; I took up the case of the stranger. I broke the fangs of the wicked and snatched the victims from their teeth”.
If God were to bless you for the sake of you and your family alone, then you wouldn’t need much. Just a little will be enough for your immediate family. But if you have ever asked God for much more, it means you applied for funds to go on a mission for the kingdom. If God obliged you with much more money than you need, it is because He is convinced that you would cooperate with His mission. Otherwise, money without a mission would destroy its possessor.
Job was such a man. He was so rich to the point where he was considered the richest man in the east, or of his day. Job was not rich for nothing, he was aware of the purpose for his wealth and embarked on the following missions:
-He reached out to the poor and fatherless who cried for help; especially those who had none to help them
-He made the widows to rejoice: Widowhood is one of the worst things that can happen to a woman. Their lives are usually filled with pain and ceaseless tears, but Job made them smile again. He made them sing for joy.
-He was eyes to the blind, feet to the lame and a father to the needy. He took up the case of the victimized stranger. He broke the fangs of the wicked and snatched victims from their teeth; all with his money. This was money on a mission. I encourage you to commission your money today for kingdom assignment. Be blessed with grace for money on a mission today in Jesus Name.
- Think of how much good your money can do, and place it on that mission as fast as you can.
- Examine your passions and see how your money can service them; especially when they have to do with people in need and in trouble.
-Lord, please fill my heart with love for the struggling and the helpless in the church and society in Jesus Name.
If God obliged you with much more money than you need, it is because He is convinced that you would cooperate with His mission. Otherwise, money without a mission would destroy its possessor.
