THERE IS BALM IN GILEAD
(Jeremiah 8:22 KJV)
“Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered”?
There is a multitude dimension of God’s healing. God is a many sided God, He is a God that has dimensions that have not yet been revealed. Ephesians 3:10 says that the church will teach principalities and power the manifold or many-sides wisdom of God. In the same way the healing balm is multidimensional, and we shall be talking about some of those dimensions of the balm of Gilead this month. The first Balm is the word of God. Isaiah 53:1-5 declares that the word is the report of the Lord, and you must begin to believe the report of the Lord above any other report out there, including the doctors report.
The book of proverbs 4:20-22 declares that the word of God has enough power to bring life to you and health to all your flesh. All your flesh here means that everything in your body is one kind of flesh or the other. Your hair is flesh, and so are your bones and marrows. The word of God has the power to impart life and health to them all. But Solomon said the word of God must be given attention, you must incline your ears to the word, keep it in the middle of your heart, it must not depart from your eyes, etc.
These were the things that Solomon highlighted in order to access healing by the word of God. I strongly suggest that you read those verses of scriptures in the proceeding paragraph. Don’t just read the word, act on the word as though your life depended on it. You must believe that He has borne your sicknesses and pains. You must believe that He didn’t just suffer for nothing, He suffered for you and I.
I want to show you how to receive the healing of God by the word of God. You would recall that faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God, according to Romans 10:17. The word of God has healing properties, and the word of God can and will heal anything you expose it to, especially by hearing. Below are scriptures that show that if you can hear, you can be healed.
IF YOU CAN HEAR YOU CAN BE HEALED
(Luke 5:15 KJV)
“But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities”.
(Luke 6:17 KJV)
“And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases”.
(Acts 14:9-10 KJV)
“The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked”.
Receive the word of healing from God in Jesus Name.

i. Ask the Lord to give you the grace and stamina to keep His word in your heart, eyes, ears and your whole being.
ii. Read the word of God consistently.
