HEALING AND HEALT (Matthew 8:2-3 KJV)

Thursday, 14th March

HE HEALED YOU ALREADY

(Isaiah 53:4-5 AMPC)
“Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole”.

It is almost a cliché when believers say “Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses”; Matthew 8:17. But we have not come to realize the depth of work that Jesus did for us that day. However, the amplified bible rendition of Isaiah 53 brings everything out. What did He die for, what price did He really pay for us?

He bore our griefs. Meaning that He bore our sicknesses, weaknesses and distresses. Any kind of sickness or affliction that falls under these. Jesus took care of it.

He carried the punishments of all our wrong doings, by sorrows and pains all on His body. So, Jesus saw you in your sin, and suffering with grave consequences. But Jesus took those pains, sicknesses, distress, etc even before you committed your first sin. But people thought back then that God was punishing Jesus. No, He was carrying our griefs and challenges.

The next time the enemy tries to make you feel as though you do not deserve a healing due to your many challenges of the past, then let him know this, that “He was wounded for our transgressions”.

He even settled the matter of the consequences of our iniquities. Iniquities are not ordinary sins. There are enormous consequences to iniquities, such that the people Jesus would reject will be workers of iniquity, and not just sinners. But Jesus had been bruised for it many years ahead of time. There is no sickness or pain that was not paid for at Calvary. Thank Him for what He has done, and keep enjoying your healings.

Action Points/Prayer
-Read all over again, and make sure you understand it.
-Lord I walk in the fullness of my healing that was paid for, before the foundation the world in Jesus Name.
