THE GREAT ASSIGNMENT
(Luke 14:21-23 KJV)

YOUR BIGGEST ASSIGNMENT ll
(2Corinthians 5:18-20 KJV)
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
Our text for today spells out a few things to us about our biggest assignment in a very simple way. We have already established that our biggest assignment is souls. Winning souls to the kingdom is why we are here on earth. You didn’t get to heaven immediately because there was an assignment on your life to reach out to others the way God used others to get to you.
Now, this is how it works; First, God sent Jesus into the world to do the job of saving the lost and the oppressed, He did it by working in Jesus and reconciling the world to Himself through Jesus. So, God was in Jesus and reaching the world through Him. Then Jesus died for us and got us saved so that we can do exactly the same thing that Jesus did, or rather to do the same thing that God did in and through Jesus to the world. He gave us the word of reconciliation, and by so doing declared us ambassadors for Christ.
After we were saved, we became enrolled into God’s diplomats program, we became heaven’s diplomats here on earth. We are here to protect the interest of heaven; we are here to defend the will of God on earth, and the will of God is that none should perish, but that all should come to the knowledge of God, 2Peter 3:9. The only way God can do that is through His embassy on earth, and that is through you and I. That is precisely why we are still on earth; this is our biggest assignment.
Receive grace to enroll into the reconciliation ministry of God in Jesus Name.
Action Points
i. Determine today to really embrace this biggest assignment by accepting it in your mind as the biggest assignment indeed.
ii. Give yourself a daily, weekly and monthly target of souls that must come to the kingdom through you.
iii. Always make sure that one sinner or two is always on your prayer list each day.
Prayer
-Lord make me a true ambassador for your kingdom in Jesus Name.
-Give me a heart for souls in Jesus Name.
