BREAKTHROUGH BY PRAYER
(James 5:16 NIV)

PRAYER WORKS BETTER WITH CLEAN HANDS
Psalm 24:3-6 KJV
“Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob”.
One thing is abundantly clear from this text, and that is the fact that God cannot be approached anyhow. Building a strong prayer life with breakthroughs must be done with clean hands and a pure heart. Prayer will be one of the most difficult tasks to undertake for anyone with unclean hands and an impure heart. You will not be able to survive the rebuke that will come from His presence.
Unclean hands refer to any involvement that is ill motivated. It also involves dealings that make you take possession of what is not yours. You can’t be having people’s things in your possession by crook, yet want to have a prayer life, it is not possible. Your dealings, businesses and involvements must be such that allows you to appear before God in prayer.
On the other hand, a clean heart is a heart void of bad motives and intentions. There must be no grudge, bitterness nor unforgiveness in your heart. To have a clean heart means you had purged yourself of lust and other forms of heart contaminating elements. Making sure your heart is right with God at all times, causes unhindered access to Him each time.
Receive grace for cleanliness of hands and purity of heart in Jesus Name.
Action Points/Prayer
– Embark on house cleaning today, of both your hands and your heart.
– Ask God for the boldness to do the right thing no matter what.
– Ask the Lord to purify your motives each day.
