WHY WE MUST PRAY
(Luke 18:1 KJV)
“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint”.
God did not create us to live and survive by trial and error. Rather, after creating man, He determined man would need fellowship with Him every cool of the day. So, God came down to fellowship with Adam, every cool of the day. That was communication between God and man, which could be termed as prayer fellowship. God was simply trying to say that prayer should be our lifestyle, if we must survive and thrive in this world.
Let’s look at various reasons l we need to pray. Reasons Jesus said prayer ought to be an always thing.
1. To keep your heavens opened.
Luke 3:21-When Jesus was being baptized, He prayed and the heavens opened over Him. To dwell in the secret place of the most high in prayer is to stay under open heavens of the shadow of the almighty. (Psalm 91:1)
That is the presence of God there.
2 . Prayer releases the ministry of Angels.
(Hebrews 1:7,14 KJV)
“And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation”.
Angelic ministry answers to prayer every time. Whenever and wherever prayer goes up in massive dozes, Angels come down for massive activities.
The reason it was hard to arrest Jesus was because angels were always around him.
(Mark 1:13 KJV) “And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him”.
Prayer increase angelic traffic around you.
-Your Prayer in tongues and in your understanding gives them instructions.
“Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word”. (Psalm 103:20 KJV)
Daniel prayed and the angels Gabriel and Michael were sent to him.
One to fight for him and another to give and teach him wisdom.
3 . Prayer causes you to hear God and to see what He wants you to see.
(Jeremiah 33:3 KJV)
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not”.
A time comes in your prayer life when your spiritual your eyes begins to open up. When we pray, we speak to God, and when He answers He does so by speaking to our hearts or to show us things. And this time it is wondrous things which you know not.
4 . Prayer releases power.
If you ever see any power anywhere in our kingdom, then you are looking at prayers behind the scenes.

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God-it is dynamic and can have tremendous power]”.
Receive grace to pray always in Jesus Name
