TELL YOUR STORY
(Acts 1:8 KJV)
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”.
Being a witness for God simply means telling your side of the story; Sharing your personal experiences with God is what evangelism is all about. It is as simply as “I was blind but now I see, because Jesus healed me”. It is the most authentic way to speak about God, because no one will believe what the Bible says without hearing what it has done for you.
There was a reason why Jesus was full of stories and parables, it was because stories easily gets the attention of people, it commands their listening abilities and provokes them to apply the stories to their lives. That was why He commanded such large follower-ship by the thousands in His day, when there was not much population explosion. Jesus was a man of stories and people wanted to hear those stories. It made a lot of sense to them.
Now, what’s your story? What has happened in your life since you met Jesus? What changes have occurred in your life? What victories have you had? What failures have you overcome? What scriptures have come true in your life? What stories of other people have really inspired you? etc. Those are your Evangelism tools right there; use them, bring them out when the need arises, and watch God transmit power through you in Jesus Name!
Action Points
i. Make a catalogue of your stories today and be “battle ready”.
ii. Begin to pray for every single person known to you, and begin to plot their salvation today.
iii. Ask the Lord to plant you at the right places at the right time as with the right words in your mouth.
iv. Tell someone about Jesus today and invite someone to the next church Service today without fail.
Prayer
-Lord please bring me to the right places and at the right time in Jesus Name.
-Please give me a word in season with which to bring a soul to you in Jesus Name.
