RETURN AND BE HEALED
(Hosea 6:1-2 KJV)
*Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.”
When you notice that you have been torn, wounded and beaten down, when things don’t appear to be working the way they should and used to, when success seems to be running away from you, it is wisdom at such times to return to the Lord. Returning can be by way of going back to your first love, it can be outright retracing of your steps from a wrong direction. Unfortunately, that is when many people work harder at their jobs, some will begin to run around people for help, many will even further isolate themselves from God and God’s people in fellowship. But most of the time, mishaps are a call to return to God your maker. Return in repentance, return to seeking Him the way you once did or ought to.
Return from your rebellion or hardness of heart in the things He had previously spoken to you about. Make it a point of duty to seek the Lord when you see things go wrong around you. Don’t be in the habit of just crying empty cries, or looking for who to blame, (many believers are experts in blaming people from the village or spirits everywhere).
The prodigal son did not start blaming any business partner that may have duped him in the course of his journey away from home, neither did he blame his situation on the crashing of the Naira or Dollar, etc. Everything else is a symptom to the real thing, which is the fact that you may have moved away from the Lord and thereby created an unhealthy gap between you and Him. Returning to God guarantees the restoration of all things including the healing of your body, life, finance, business, etc.
Begin your journey back to God today in Jesus Name.
Action Points
i. Discover whatever it is that may have been responsible for the gap between you and God and cut it off or adjust your involvement today.
ii. Refuse to postpone your return back to the Lord from today, and do it now. (I mean right now).
iii. Tell someone about Jesus today and invite someone to the next Church Service without fail.
Prayer
-Lord I realize that i have become slack in my pursuit of you and your presence, and i repent in Jesus Name.
-I make my way back to my first love for you in Jesus Name.
-Give me the grace to be consistent with you in Jesus Name.
Nugget
Most times, mishaps are a call to return to God your maker – Return in repentance, return to seeking Him the way you once did or ought to.
