THE SPIRIT OF MIGHT
Isaiah 11:1-2 KJV
“And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord”.
A very crucial manifestation of the Holy Spirit is in might or power. The spirit of God is the spirit of power. Jesus said in Acts 1:8 “Ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…”. Power is a product of the Holy Ghost in our lives, such that when He (The Holy Ghost) comes, He ushers in the power dimension of the Holy Ghost. There is just no way anyone will believe you have the Holy Ghost without some measure of the power dimension manifesting itself in your life. The Holy Spirit is popularly known for power than anything else.
In Acts 10:38, the Bible speaks of “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil for God was with Him”. There is just no way Jesus could have been able to go about doing all the good that He did, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil without the power dimension of the Holy Spirit in His life. He was anointed with the Holy Ghost who in turn ushered in the power or might dimension of the Spirit into Him.
It is a very sad thing to be a Christian and lack the power of the Holy Ghost. Power is the ability to do work, power is the anointing to solve problems, and power is the grace to bring solutions to problems in the world. The power dimension of the Holy Ghost is activated when there is work to be done. For instance, when the disciples of Jesus went everywhere to preach, the Lord was working with them and confirming their words with signs following. You can see here that there was work to be done, they embarked on the assignment of soul winning, that act alone activates the spirit of might and power in your life.
Your life would be a lot easier and a lot smoother when you walk in the power of God. Receive grace to walk in the power of God in Jesus Name.
Action Points
i. Constantly put yourself in a position where you are in need of the power of God in operation in your life.
ii. Spend time in prayer, fasting and the study of the word of God for the release of the power of God in your life.
iii. Develop a desire to help people, to solve problems, and bring solutions to people’s lives everywhere you go from now on, and you will become more conscious of God’s power.
Prayer
-Lord, I make my vessel available to you today for the purposes of bringing help and solution to as many are in trouble in Jesus Name.
-Lord, please bless me with stamina to both seek your face in prayer, the word and fasting in Jesus Name.

There is just no way anyone will believe you have the HolyGhost without some measure of the power dimension manifesting itself in your life.
