WHY WERE YOU BORN?

DO NOT IDOLIZE YOUR BLESSING
(Exodus 32:1-2,4)
“And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him. And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.
And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt”.
The secret of great wealth under God is not found in great prayers or fastings, rather they are in the discovery of great secrets. Secrets that are not available to the normal man or mind. The story of Exodus is a classical example of how God deals with us when it comes to riches and wealth.
God made sure that they did not leave Egypt empty. God is a responsible father, He made sure He provided for them financially, at least they had the money in abundance. They were rightly paid all the debts owed their fathers for the many hundreds of years of Payless labour. Imagine one generation being paid the wages of many generations gone by. But one thing we will see there is that God did not tell them why He was giving them so much wealth. Later on in the wilderness we will see that He provided all that they needed, such that they did not have to spend the money at all. This goes to show that the wealth God brings into your life is not meant to be spent on yourself necessarily, because He can still supply all you need with the money untouched.
So, when they kept seeing the money without using it, they decided to make an idol out of it. And this was just before Moses came down from the mountains to tell them why God gave them so much money or wealth. God gave them all that gold and silver so they could build Him a sanctuary in the wilderness made of pure gold. And the gold was to come from the rings and ear rings and other golden ornaments with which they were paid off in Egypt upon their exodus.
God made sure they were loaded with silver and gold (money) as they left Egypt. But they did know the purpose of that blessing, so they idolized it. God wants to use you to transfer wealth from heaven to earth to be a blessing to many, much like the banks of the earth. They are used to transfer funds from institution to institution, from organization to organization and from person to person. God wants you to be His agency for wealth transfer to service His purposes on earth as well. Will you be willing to do that?
Any one who will be rich without being God’s agency for wealth transfer will most definitely idolize the riches. Lord have mercy.
Action Points.
i. Decide in your heart today that nothing and absolutely nothing will stand in the way between you and God.
ii. Make a vow today, and possibly swear to God that you will never allow His blessings cloud your eyes from His purposes and agenda on earth.
iii. With the little you have begin to work with God to be a blessing to as many as He shall lay upon your heart.
Prayer
-Lord I resign from my selfishness and greed from today on Jesus Name.
-Lord I make you my number one reason for becoming rich and wealthy in Jesus Name.
-Lord I vow to never idolize my blessings in Jesus Name.
Nugget
Any one who will be rich without being God’s agency for wealth transfer will most definitely idolize the riches. Lord have mercy.
